The PRINCE2™ 3-day Foundation Course is designed to equip delegates to pass the Foundation Exam, which is accredited by the Association of Project Management. Once delegates have passed their Foundation Exam, they may subsequently sit the Practitioners course – this is covered by a separate syllabus. The course comprises a mixture of input sessions and examination-based practical work. During the course, delegates will undertake a number of mock examinations and gain feedback on their progress towards eventual success. The Foundation examination is taken on the afternoon of the last day. It is closed book with seventy-five multiple-choice questions to be answered in an hour. The pass mark is 50%. The tutor marks the papers and informs the delegates of their marks at the end of the session.
